I am a freelance web professional with 13 years experience working on behalf of clients with a wide range of needs—from pure strategy and consulting to actual hands-on coding & web development and project management.
I provide thoughtfully planned, custom solutions and offer a level of personal service unique to the market. I often partner with other designers and programmers to develop data-driven web sites and custom applications.
The projects shown at right were produced for a number of educational, non profit, corporate and small business clients in the US and the Netherlands over the past nine years.

2007 | Completely revamped this small consulting firm's website by providing new content strategy, site design, copywriting, site production and client editor training.
2007 | This design option was presented but not chosen for final development. I particularly liked the concept but the client preferred a more conservative, direct approach.
2007 | with Lost Boys – Designed the user interface for this customer- facing b2b self service center. Interface screens were developed in Photoshop from detailed IA documents and handed off to client team for in-house development.
2007 | Designed a stand-alone website interface that could be used seperately or together with existing umbrella templates for departmental style guidelines.
2007 | with Lost Boys – Developed an interim design solution to incorporate new corporate branding guidelines and logo artwork into existing site templates. The project required immediate turnaround and was integrated into worldwide CMS within a few days.
2006 | Provided design direction, site development, e-commerce integration and project management for this cutting edge children's clothing label. The site was produced on a very limited budget and has been a success in capturing online sales.
2006 | This simple brochure website was developed to establish this energy consultancy as a leader in their field. Provided a turnkey solution including design, content direction, Flash enhancements and an easily updatable website.
2006 | with Visual Asparagus – Information architecture and page design comprehensives were created for this retail/commercial/residential property development website. Web production is on hold pending further progress with real estate development.
2006 | with Visual Asparagus – Provided a complete web presence for an emerging commercial and residential real estate brokerage and property developer. The portal and related business sites were developed to work together or individually and were integrated with a web-based CMS tool and real-time property search.
2004 to 2006 | Working with the internal web publishing team, produced templates and handled the technical integration with the existing CMS platform for a a major redesign of the university's web presence. Also assisted with the strategy and redesign planning and with ongoing maintenance and support of prior websites.
2005 | Designed and developed the online brochure for this boutique architecture firm which directly resulted in new business leads. The site was designed to convey the personality of the firm and showcase previous projects and structured to allow in-house updates by non-technical staff.
2005 | Redesign of this real estate brokerage site included integration of MLS property search with a hosted CMS solution. The existing branding was leveraged to produce an easy to use and easy to identify home on the web for this well known, established business.
2004 | with Cortech, Inc. – Provided project management and technical coordination among 3rd party designers, programmers and the in-house publications team to produce this CMS-driven Flash website.
2003 to 2005 | Produced the corporate website, Intranet and several internal application projects for this oil & gas exploration company. Working with both Human Resources and IT teams, managed development efforts with multiple external contractors and in-house stake-holders.
2003 | with Savage Design Group – Provided extensive market research, technical planning, web strategy and recommendations for this growing restaurant and hospitality group.
2003 | with Savage Design Group – Assisted in the development of this web-based, CMS application via interface design planning, feature development and enhancements, usability studies and testing, QA, product documentation and end-user training.
2003 | with Savage Design Group – Developed recommendations and extensive implementation plan for a multi-country intranet project. Also helped launch a new corporate website including integrated, real-time investor relations data.
2002 | with Savage Design Group – Oversaw site production, content development and technical integration of custom data-driven grant records for this leading philanthropical organization.
2002 | with Savage Design Group – Managed in-house and client production teams through development and build out this large corporate web site. Project included integrating product safety datasheets, Flash-based marketing and educational features, and real-time investor relations data.
2002 | Designed and developed online presence for this upscale retail boutique to reflect the simplicity and elegance of their product selection. Gift registry and e-commerce functionality were planned in the initial design but were added by a 3rd party at a later time.
2001 | Produced an extensive data-driven marketing site for a leading design firm as part of in-house team. Led the project planning and scoping efforts, provided hands-on template and web development and project management.
1998 to 2000 | As webmaster, managed several major corporate website redesigns through planning, production and launch for the leading Application Service Provider. Also developed additional websites and print materials to support the sales and marketing efforts.
